Berea’s National Rib Cook-Off & Beer Fest

Get ready for an amazing weekend filled with mouthwatering ribs, ice-cold beer, and a whole lot of fun! For the past 24 years, the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea has been the go-to destination for folks from all over Northeastern Ohio to kick off their summer in style at the unforgettable Berea’s National Rib Cook-Off & Beer Fest. This event is the epitome of good times, and it’s all thanks to the incredible efforts of the Berea City Club, Inc. and its dedicated team of volunteers.

The Berea City Club has been making a positive impact on the community since 1998, with over a million dollars donated to various causes and infrastructure projects. They’ve been behind fantastic initiatives like the Berea Clock Tower, Coe Lake Bridge, and Lou Groza Boulevard. And guess what? You can join in on the fun while helping the community too! All you need to do is savor some delectable ribs (seriously, it’s a win-win situation!). So mark your calendars because this year’s festivities will take place from May 26th to May 29th, 2023.

Prepare your taste buds for a feast like no other as the Area and National Rib Teams gather to compete for the coveted titles of Best Ribs, Best Sauce, and more. The competition is fierce, and the flavors are out of this world!

Tremont Greek Festival

Held in Tremont every Memorial Day weekend at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, the annual Greek Festival features Greek music, Greek food, Greek drink, and even antiques (Greek or otherwise). Visitors will find a mouth-watering assortment of homemade Greek specialties. Hours are noon to midnight Friday thru Sunday. Hours are noon to 7 p.m. on Monday.


Saturday, May 27th

Little Italy Artisan & Farmers Market

This event ranges the gamut from art to food and everything in between with farmers, artisans, and various vendors congregating at Tony Brush Park. Nestled in the beautiful Little Italy district, there aren’t many better ways to spend Memorial Day weekend supporting the makers of Cleveland. Free, 1-7 p.m

Memphis Kiddie Park

Looking for an adventure-filled experience for your pint-sized thrill-seeker? Look no further than Memphis Kiddie Park! This miniature theme park is tailored for those who want a taste of excitement without diving into the full-scale thrills just yet. With 10 rides designed specifically for children, a concession stand, an arcade, and even a mini-golf course, you’re guaranteed an entire afternoon packed with fun.

Located in Northeast Ohio, Memphis Kiddie Park is a rare gem among kiddie parks across the country. Don’t forget to bring your camera along to capture those precious “look, mom, no hands” moments and the beaming smiles of your little ones!

What sets Memphis Kiddie Park apart is its compact layout. The rides are conveniently close to one another, making it easy to explore the entire park without much effort. All the rides are categorized by height, and most children measuring 50 inches and under can enjoy them independently. However, some rides like the mini roller coaster and the train may require an adult companion for smaller kids. From boats to rockets and cars, there’s a range of exciting designs for kids to hop on and enjoy.

One of the great advantages of this park is its ability to cater to both older kids and their younger friends or siblings. There are bathrooms and a concession stand available for well-deserved breaks, and shaded tables where you can relax for a while.
