Hailing from Sacramento, CA, the band CAKE is a unique blend of originality and creativity. Imagine a party where Hank Williams Sr. and Sly Stone are the hosts, and the soundtrack is AC/DC records played in reverse – that’s the essence of this band. CAKE’s commitment to its founding principles has only intensified over time.
Initially formed as a counter-response to the grunge movement, CAKE has carved out a niche for themselves with their democratic approach, self-sufficiency, and innovative music. They stand alone, without any apparent counterparts in terms of sound or outlook.
Not only do they write, arrange, produce, and perform their own music, but they have also mastered the art of engineering their recording projects in their self-sufficient solar-powered studio. The studio often generates surplus power, causing the building’s electrical meter to run backward.
Their latest album, “Showroom of Compassion”, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 Album Chart and was praised as “deadpan brilliance” by the New Yorker. Despite blending various genres and influences, CAKE has managed to create a sound and vision that is distinctly their own.
Currently, the band is working on their ninth album, which is slated for release in 2023.
The gifted singer-songwriter unveiled her most recent work, “In These Silent Days”, in 2021. As with her previous works, it is imbued with lyrical poetry, reflecting Carlile’s diverse influences from pop, country, and folk genres. She will be performing at Blossom tonight at 7:30.

“Cleveland Wing Week is a full week dedicated to celebrating the wing. Each participating restaurant in Cleveland Wing Week will showcase their unique spin on wings, featuring signature sauces, secret menu delights, and more,” as stated on the Cleveland Wing Week website.
The Jonas Brothers ushered in a new era with their latest single, “Waffle House,” which was released by Republic Records on April 7th. This single is a precursor to their upcoming full-length album, “The Album,” which is scheduled to drop on May 12th. This exciting new phase was guided by executive producer Jon Bellion, known for his work with artists like Justin Bieber, Maroon 5, and Halsey.
To kick off 2023 on a high note, the band was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 30, 2023.
Their journey to success has been remarkable, highlighted by their 5x-platinum single, “Sucker,” which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100. This achievement marked their first #1 hit and the first #1 debut by a group in this century. The Jonas Brothers’ story was also chronicled in the Amazon Original film, “Chasing Happiness,” which documented their rise and return to music.
Following this, they achieved their third #1 album with the platinum-selling “Happiness Begins” on Republic Records. The album’s success brought them numerous awards, including three Billboard Music Awards, a 2019 MTV VMA for “Best Pop Video,” “Best Duo/Group” at the 2020 iHeart Music Awards, and two Teen Choice Awards, including the prestigious “Decade Award.” Additionally, they earned American Music Awards nominations and a coveted Grammy nomination.
The Jonas Brothers also joined forces with Marshmello for the hit “Leave Before You Love Me,” which spent six weeks in the Top 10 on Top 40 radio and amassed millions of streams and views.
Terrestrial Brewing Company, established in 2017 by founders Ryan Bennett and Ralph Sgro, emerged from their shared passion for beer and the brewing industry. Collaboratively, they embarked on the journey of conceptualizing and launching this brewery with a singular focus on offering an exclusive in-house beer experience.
Nestled in the Battery Park neighborhood of Cleveland, Ohio, this brewery boasts a Taproom equipped with a five-barrel brewhouse crafted by Portland Kettle Works, all proudly American-made. The brewing team comprises Brewmaster Ralph Sgro and Head Brewer Drew Lang, responsible for crafting the house beers. Among these, the mainstays are the Canopy Crusher IPA and the Public Pilsner, while the remaining taps are in a constant state of rotation, offering patrons an ever-changing array of exciting brews.
The Taproom exudes a laid-back ambiance and boasts two expansive patios that provide breathtaking views of Lake Erie, making it an idyllic spot to enjoy during the warmer months. Notably, the Taproom welcomes dogs with open arms, and there’s even an adjacent dog park where furry friends can frolic and socialize. You can explore our Dogs Tab to find more information and browse captivating photos captured by Ryan Johns. Furthermore, Terrestrial Brewing Company is committed to supporting animal welfare causes, as evidenced by their ongoing contributions from sales proceeds to dog-focused organizations, such as Doggie Brunches.
However, their love for animals extends beyond dogs, as they also collaborate with the Cleveland Zoological Society to raise funds and awareness for wildlife conservation. Moreover, their partnership with the Greater Cleveland Aquarium is dedicated to supporting the preservation efforts of spotted turtles. Terrestrial Brewing Company looks forward to nurturing these partnerships and making a positive impact for years to come.
