3 Notable Notes Around the Victory

1 – Strus

Late in the 4th quarter, Max Struss stepped up with two big plays to help put the game away for the Cavs.  First was an assist to Caris LeVert for a dunk, and on the next Cleveland possession, Struss hit a three to put the Cavs up seven.

2 – Allen’s Ankle

Jarrett Allen injured his left ankle early in the 3rd quarter and did not return.

3 – Cavs Bench

The Cleveland bench was a huge advantage again tonight, outscoring the Memphis bench 43 to 23.

Donovan Mitchell contributed 25 points and seven assists as the Cleveland Cavaliers secured their fourth consecutive victory, defeating the Memphis Grizzlies 108-101 on Thursday night. This win marked their 12th in 13 games.

Caris LeVert made a noteworthy impact with 16 points coming off the bench, while Jarrett Allen contributed 14 points and nine rebounds. Max Strus had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

In his second game back from a 19-game absence due to a fractured jaw, Darius Garland scored nine points. He had previously tallied 19 points in a home victory over Detroit on Wednesday night.

Jaren Jackson Jr. led the Grizzlies with 25 points, supported by Santi Aldama’s 18 points and nine rebounds, and Vince Williams Jr.’s 17 points.

Cleveland entered the fourth quarter with an 81-80 lead, thanks to a strong third quarter where they made 4 of 8 3-pointers and shot 65%. Despite Memphis closing in, Cleveland managed to secure the win, with LeVert’s dunk and Strus’s 3-pointer extending the lead to 106-99 with 1:16 remaining in the game.
