Series Finale Against the Pittsburgh Pirates

3 Things:

1 – Get the brooms ready

The Guardians will be looking for its second sweep of the season as Aaron Civale toes the mound for Cleveland. They will be up against the 43-year-old lefty veteran Rich Hill.

2 – Run differential positive

After Tuesday night’s victory in Pittsburgh, the Guardians are now two runs in the positive when it comes to run differential. The Guardians are now 6th in doubles in MLB and they are in the top half of hits coming in at 13.

3 – Power surge and RISP

It has been a huge offensive outbreak for the Guardians in Pittsburgh scoring 21 runs in two games.  A big reason why Cleveland has scored so many runs in two days is the six home runs hit, and all six blasts had men on base, no solo shots.  Another reason is the Guardians are hitting with runners in scoring position going 7 for 16 in the two games.

Guardians Notes

The Guards put it to the Bucs 10-1 in Tuesday’s middle game after winning 11-0 in Monday’s series opener. Final Thoughts/Pick

The Pirates have shown minimal resistance in the first two games of this series. Cleveland has dominated Pittsburgh, outscoring them 21-1 in the previous matchups. Considering this trend, it’s unlikely that things will change on Wednesday. The Guardians deploying Civale, who has been consistently performing well on the road this season, while the Pirates are countering with Hill, who has been underperforming, possibly due to age catching up with him.

Our Pick: The GUARDIANS (-132) are an excellent choice for the series finale
