Browns/Cardinals: Keys To Victory Week 9

Cleveland Browns vs. Arizona Cardinals Game Flow to Watch For:

1 – Instead of our four key matchups this week and the Browns being 10-point favorites at home against a 1-7 Arizona Cardinals team, the Browns have to win this game with Deshaun Watson returning on Sunday, correct?

There’s no reason for the Browns to lose this game with Deshaun Watson returning on Sunday to start, along with the heartbreaking loss the week before against the Colts.  There should be no letdown on Sunday. 

This is the most crucial game of the season.  Yes, against an NFC opponent, this is the game the Browns must win, as this allows them to get settled into the last nine games of the season with five being on the road.  This is undoubtedly a game Cleveland can lose with mistakes, turnovers, and the defense giving up big plays, which is why it is so important.  They need to feel good heading into Baltimore, with the Steelers coming to Cleveland the following week.  

The Browns have a rare opportunity to do a mental reset and get ready for a playoff push.  I don’t see how they make a playoff push with a loss at home to Arizona.  

It is rare to have confidence coming into a Browns game, but this, to me, is just simple: I don’t see how the Cardinals win without the mighty Brown and Orange beating themselves, even if Kyler Murray starts on Sunday. 

Let’s see Myles Garrett get a couple of sacks, with Kareem Hunt running for big yards on third down, and watch Watson make plays with his arm and legs for a touchdown or two.  The Browns could use these mental health positive moments, and frankly, fans need to see it as well, with the hated Ravens looming.

A loss or a tight game in the 4th quarter with Watson struggling could kill the season and bring a lot of negative momentum that will be too hard to overcome.  Positive juju is the order of the day, and the Cardinals are the perfect opportunity to get it.
