Guardians vs. Marlin’s – Game 3 Preview

Logan Allen is in line to make his major league debut in this contest as the Guardians continue to try and plug holes in a rotation wrecked by injuries with Trenton McKenzie along with Aaron Civale still on the IL. Allen has made three starts for Triple-A Columbus of the International League this season, posting no record with a 1.26 ERA, a 1.047 WHIP, five walks, and 20 strikeouts over 14.1 innings of work. In his minor league career, Allen is 18-7 with a 3.48 ERA, a 1.126 WHIP, 82 walks, and 340 strikeouts over 258.1 innings in 51 career appearances, and 49 starts. This marks his first career outing against the Marlins. Allen makes his first career start at Progressive Field in this contest as well.

GUARDIANS PROBABLE PITCHER – LOGAN ALLEN

MARLINS PROBABLE PITCHER – JESUS LUZARDO

  • Luzardo (2-0) takes the mound first for the Marlins in his fifth start of the season. He’s put together a 2.74 ERA in 23 2/3 innings pitched, with 26 strikeouts.
  • His last time out was on Monday against the San Francisco Giants, when the lefty threw 4 1/3 innings, surrendering three earned runs while allowing six hits.
