Ohio State has been in search of a quarterback in 2024 ever since the decommitment of Pinnacle (Ariz.) Phoenix five-star signal caller Dylan Raiola (6-3, 220), a notable option, is on the board now after receiving an official offer from the Buckeyes.
Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes four-star quarterback Air Noland (6-3, 195), the No. 84 overall prospect and No. 8 quarterback in the class, received an offer from Ohio State on Saturday, with the Buckeyes joining the likes of Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Miami (Fla.), Ole Miss, Oregon, and Texas A&M to have offered the signal caller.
Noland was offered after taking an unofficial visit to Ohio State this weekend, with the hopes that this visit would culminate in an official offer from head coach Ryan Day. It did, and Noland became just the sixth quarterback offered in 2024 by Ohio State, and just the second – along with Hialeah (Fla.) Mater Academy Charter three-star Adrian Posse (6-4, 205) – remains uncommitted to a program.
Speaking of that commitment, Noland is not far from announcing his choice of college. The four-star prospect is set to announce on April 8 between Alabama, Arkansas, Clemson, Miami (Fla.), Ohio State, Oregon, and Texas A&M.
In three seasons of high school football, Noland has thrown for 8,024 yards and 104 touchdowns while completing 67.8 percent of his passes and tossing just 16 interceptions. His junior season saw the quarterback throw for 4,095 yards and 55 touchdowns while leading his team to an undefeated 15-0 record and a state title.
Noland is a possibility to add to Ohio State’s growing haul in 2024, which is up to six commitments and seventh in the country after adding Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward four-star offensive lineman Deontae (6-6, 280) and Devontae (6-5, 288) Armstrong last week.
