Series Finale Against the San Diego Padres

3 Things Preview Cleveland Guardians at San Diego Padres:

1 – Lefty vs. Lefty

The Guardians’ most consistent pitcher is on the mound tonight, rookie Logan Allen, left-handed, is on the bump while lefty Ryan Weathers starts for San Diego.

2 – Rosario running into outs

Amed Rosario is having a tough run in this series when it comes to the base path.  Rosario on Tuesday ran into a ball going from 1st to 2nd causing the third out in the top of the 1st and last night he hit a single into right field in the 9th but overran the bag, and Fernando Tatis Jrpicked off Rosario.

3 – Naylor hitting streak

In the 5th inning, Josh Naylor’s single extended his hit streak to 13 games, the longest active hit streak in MLB.

Final Thoughts/Pick

The Padres have played better over the last week or so and they are almost back to .500 on the year. San Diego is starting Ryan Weathers, who has allowed 1, 4, 3, 4, and 4 earned runs over his last five starts. Cleveland is starting Logan Allen, who has allowed seven earned runs over his last two starts (12 IP). The under has been a great pick in these two teams’ recent game three’s of a series and I like the under here as well.
